The use of cars have as result environmental problems, but if we use bicycles instead of cars we will help our planet earth because bicycles are substitute of cars. The fist option is to move along the curve  by decreasing  the demand of cars, this implies to increase the gasoline price by putting more taxes or we can increase the price of cars.The second option is to shift the demand curve by making educational programs, to inform people that the use of cars is causing environmental problems.
