It talks about the two faces of Peru, on the one hand there is a group of people that have their stall in Gamarra and in La Victoria were they sell their goods like clothe and earn a lot of money. Because Peru has top-quality cotton and vicuña  and alpaca fibre. But on the other hand there is a group of poor people who do not have education and the opportunities to work and each day they have to find the way to bring something to home. Peru is one of the countries with a lot of poverty, more than Chile or Colombia.

The text talks about the use of illegal drugs such as: cocaine, heroin, ecstasy and crack.
Drugs have effects for example: drug dependence can ruin lives and also families. Also persons addicts to drug rob and do other violent criminal acts to obtain money to buy more drugs. The persons have the need to buy drugs, they can not control themselves. To reduce the use of illegal drug USA government have devote millions of dollars and increase the number of federals to reduce the flow of drugs. But when USA government stops the entry of some drugs to the country and arrest people who smugglers the price of the drug will increase. In my opinion this may help, but when smugglers are arrest, they are going to create new smugglers and if the price increases the people will still buy drugs whatever the price is, because they are addict. That means there will be more robbery and violent criminal acts, because people will need more money for drugs.(this makes the supply curve stays the same). I think education will reduce the use of drug also they can make centers where they can help people addict to drug.

Now a days they have been many problems with buses, they are mean of transport really cheap but also really danger because the drivers doesn't care about well being of people who are in the bus they only care about the money they received. Something about the buses is that you can not be safe if you have the windows open because someone can stole your things. The police is trying to stop these problems but they are not enough police for all the buses because during the pass of the year the buses have increased.
Taxis are also a big problem because they are not safe, everyday in the news and in the newspaper you can see how the taxis stole the properties of their passengers and sometimes they also violate women. Another problem is tourism, when tourist came to Peru the taxis charge more money than the one they should pay. In Peru they are a lot of problems with transport the drivers does not have values and they don't care what they do to get money.Something that cause this is poverty because the drivers need money for the education and food supplies for their family.

In my opinion the buses should disappear because they carry few people and they cause a constant traffic. But drivers should be given a job opportunity or the government should give them credits so they can buy bigger buses. Also government should change the transport rules and put heavy fines to the drivers that doesn't respect the rules.
